Mach-E GT PPF, Ceramic Coating & Window Tint
This Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition recently came to Supreme Finish in Raleigh for one of the most complete protection and appearance packages we have put together.
The Supreme Team installed full front-end Paint Protection Film (PPF), System-X MAX G+ Ceramic Coating, custom ghost racing stripes, and premium ceramic window tint.
Did You Know?
The Mach-E GT Performance Edition produces 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque, giving it the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds.
Full Front-End Paint Protection Film
The front end of any vehicle takes more abuse than almost any other painted area. Rock chips, insects, loose road debris, and other contaminants repeatedly hit the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors during normal driving.
For this Mach-E GT, we installed Paint Protection Film across the full front end, covering the hood, front bumper, fenders, mirrors, and other high-impact areas.
PPF creates a transparent protective barrier between the road and the factory finish. Instead of a small rock or piece of debris striking the paint directly, the film provides a sacrificial layer designed to absorb that everyday abuse.
Kentrell often recommends front-end PPF for owners who want to drive their vehicles without constantly worrying about the paint. “You can’t avoid every rock or piece of debris on the highway,” he says. “PPF gives those high-impact areas an extra layer of protection so you can actually enjoy driving the vehicle.”

MAX G+ Ceramic Coating
The entire Mach-E received System-X MAX G+ Ceramic Coating, including the painted surfaces and Paint Protection Film.
MAX G+ is designed to produce a highly slick, glossy finish while providing long-term protection and strong hydrophobic performance.
Benefits include:
- Increased gloss
- Exceptional surface slickness
- Strong hydrophobic properties
- Easier washing and maintenance
- Protection for painted surfaces and PPF
- Compatibility with paint, PPF, vinyl wraps, and other exterior surfaces

1-Step Paint Correction if Needed
PPF and ceramic coating are sometimes treated as alternatives, but they solve different problems.
Paint Protection Film is primarily there to provide physical protection against impacts. Ceramic coating creates a slick, hydrophobic surface that helps resist environmental contamination and makes the exterior easier to maintain.
As Kentrell puts it, “PPF and ceramic coating aren’t doing the same job. PPF is there for the physical protection, while the coating helps with the finish and maintenance. When you combine them, you get a much more complete protection package.”

Ghost Racing Stripes
We also installed custom ghost racing stripes, one of the most distinctive elements of the finished project.
Unlike traditional racing stripes that create an immediate contrast against the body color, ghost stripes are intentionally subtle. When the light catches them correctly, the stripes become much more noticeable.
“The ghost stripes give it something different without taking over the whole car,” Kentrell says. “You notice them when the light hits them, but from another angle they’re barely there. That’s what makes them interesting.”
Ceramic Window Tint
The final part of the project was premium ceramic window tint throughout the vehicle. Benefits of ceramic tint include:
- Reduced interior heat
- UV protection
- Reduced glare
- Increased privacy
- Greater driving comfort
- Added interior protection

Did You Know?
The Mach-E’s battery is positioned low in the chassis. This helps lower the vehicle’s center of gravity, an important characteristic for a performance-oriented electric crossover.
Final Thoughts
We asked Kentrell Jackson, owner of Supreme Finish Auto Detailing, what he thought about the finished project.
“This was definitely one of our favorite projects. We got to do a little bit of everything on this Mach-E, from protecting the front end with PPF to coating the entire vehicle and adding the tint and ghost stripes.
That’s what we try to do at Supreme Finish. We listen to what the owner wants and put together a package that makes sense for their vehicle. This one came together exactly how we wanted it to.”
