Black Ford Mustang 5.0 Ceramic Coating
The Supreme Finish Team recently had the chance to work on a beautiful and sleek black Ford Mustang 5.0 at our shop in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The owner of this Mustang wanted the finish to look sharper and stay easier to maintain, so they came to the Supreme Team for our 3-Year ceramic paint protection package.
Starting With a True Paint Reset
Before any coating goes on, the surface has to be right. We started with a safe, thorough wash to remove grit, then moved into decon so the paint was smooth and clean. This is the part most people do not see, but it is what makes the correction and coating perform properly.
Paint Correction First
We started with paint correction to clean up the finish and reduce the swirls and imperfections that show up easily on black paint. The goal here was clarity. When the surface is refined, the Mustang looks darker, glossier, and more “high definition” in the sun.
Paint correction is also what makes ceramic coating worth it. A coating will not hide defects. It locks in the current look of the paint. That is why this step comes first.
System-X 3-Year Ceramic Coating
We applied System-X 3-year ceramic coating to add protection and make upkeep easier. This coating adds slickness and gloss, but the real benefit is how it changes maintenance. Dirt and road film do not hang on as aggressively, and washes become quicker and safer.
For a Raleigh daily driver, that matters. Pollen season, summer storms, and road film can make a dark car look dirty fast. Ceramic coating helps the finish stay cleaner longer between washes.

Windshield and Window Coating
We also ceramic coated the windshield and all exterior windows. That improves water behavior in the rain and makes the glass easier to clean. When water beads and sheds faster, visibility improves, and you spend less time dealing with film and streaks.
Rim Coating for Cleaner Wheels
To round out the package, we ceramic coated the rims to help reduce brake dust buildup and simplify future cleanings. On performance cars, wheels collect grime quickly. Ceramic coating them helps keep the finish look cleaner and makes dust release easier during washes.
